Matchbox “Stretcha Fetcha” (1971)

First, the Robert Pear at the New York Times [2] covers the issue of provider choice in the Affordable Care Act’s new marketplace plans (quoting NCJC’s Adam Linker on the front page). Linker’s sagacity aside, balancing premium cost with limits on provider choice makes for interesting reading.

Second, Mark Binker over at WRAL has a great overview [3] of just what the heck is going on around Governor McCrory’s plans to privatize NC’s Medicaid program. The smart money was that this issue was dead in the water. Not so, according the the Governor. This comprehensive piece should be required reading for anyone in NC or nationally who cares about our awarding-winning health care delivery system for low-income people.
