State and other defendants respond to federal voting law challenges

The state of North Carolina and other defendants named in the federal lawsuits challenging voting law changes [1] enacted this summer have responded by filing answers which largely deny the substantive allegations against them.

Read defendants’ Answer to the suit filed by the League of Women Voters here [3].

The Answer to the complaint filed by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is due for filing with the court on December 2.
