State and other defendants respond to federal voting law challenges

The state of North Carolina and other defendants named in the federal lawsuits challenging voting law changes  enacted this summer have responded by filing answers which largely deny the substantive allegations against them.

The Answer to the complaint filed by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is due for filing with the court on December 2.
