Gun lobby: Immigrants must suffer because of their supposed political views

The following is from the website Dictionary.com:

par·a·noi·a [par-uh-noi-uh], noun
1. Psychiatry. a mental disorder characterized by systematized delusions and the projection of personal conflicts, which are ascribed to the supposed hostility of others, sometimes progressing to disturbances of consciousness and aggressive acts believed to be performed in self-defense or as a mission. 2.baseless or excessive suspicion of the motives of others. Also, par·a·noe·a [par-uh-nee-uh]. Origin:  1805–15;  < Neo-Latin  < Greek paránoia  madness. See para-, nous, -ia

Here’s something else that the editors  might have added to the above definition:

3. The characteristic of being so absurdly and maniacally obsessed with a single public policy issue that one deludes oneself into believing that every other policy matter pales in importance and, indeed, that advocacy surrounding all other matters is really part of a conspiracy to target one’s issue. 4. The belief that millions of good people should suffer in the shadows so that it can be assured that a few thousand souls can purchase and own mass killing machines without meaningful regulation.  See for example: The American gun lobby.

If you think this is an exaggeration, check out the following news item:

The national pro-gun advocacy group Gun Owners of America issued an alert last week (forwarded this week by the group Grassroots North Carolina) in which it said (among other things) the following:

“The House Republican leadership will soon announce a set of ‘principles’ for immigration reform.  Supposedly, if these ‘principles’ are not well-received, the House will shelve the issue for the remainder of the year.

To be blunt:  The health of the Second Amendment relies on demolishing these ‘principles.’

Immigration reform will add over 8,000,000 anti-gun voters to the voting rolls.  There may be as many as 11.5 million persons illegally in the United States.  And, a Pew poll from last year indicated that if illegal immigrants were given citizenship, they would vote for liberal, anti-gun candidates by an 8-to-1 margin….

The first reality is this:  If the House passes ANYTHING, the Senate will tack on its amnesty bill and send it to conference.  And the national conversation will turn off of ObamaCare and onto immigration.

And guess what?  Every gun-hating institution which moved heaven and earth to pass gun control will move heaven and earth to get the House to retreat — if not to a ‘pathway to citizenship,’ to a ‘pathway to legalization.’

They will have created the biggest and most motivated Obama-loving movement in the country — devoted to electing anti-gun politicians and retaining Harry Reid’s control of the Senate.

Heaven help us.

Hey, it’s legitimate self-defense. To quote Protagonist Benjamin Martin in “The Patriot”, “An elected legislature can trample a man’s rights just as easily as a king can.”

Just so. It is in our self-interest and the interest of our (and everyone else’s) liberty to squash the leftist takeover of this country with whatever means is at our disposal, NOW, to preclude ever having to resort to violence.

It is clear that the motivation for “amnesty” is to pack the electorate with Third World leftist voters, and we simply are not going to stand by without resistance and let that happen.

Far from basing their alerts on paranoid supposition and emotionalism, Gun Owners of America (GOA.org) and Grass Roots North Carolina (GRNC.org) base their alerts (without hyperbole)upon the best available facts.

Notwithstanding the many other augments against granting amnesty to illegal aliens, with regards to gun rights, a July 2013 Pew poll entitled,”Are unauthorized immigrants overwhelmingly Democrats?” concluded:

“The predictions about how unauthorized immigrants will vote stem from the fact that among all Latino immigrants who are eligible to vote (i.e. are U.S. citizens) many more identify as Democrats than as Republicans—54% versus 11%. And in the 2012 presidential election, according to the National Election Pool, Latino voters favored Democrat Barack Obama over Republican Mitt Romney by 71%-27%.”(source: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2013/07/22/are-unauthorized-immigrants-overwhelmingly-democrats/.

Given that the Democrat Party is the party of gun bans, registration, and confiscation (witness recent events in the blue states of New York, Maryland and Connecticut), “heaven help us” indeed if illegal aliens are ever granted citizenship.
