Locke staffer assails NRA as Second Amendment wimps

Today’s winner of the “You-can’t-make-this-stuff-up award for special achievement in the field of utter right-wing insanity” goes to the Locke Foundation’s “Locker Room” blogger who today attacked the National Rifle Association for being a bunch of mealy-mouthed compromisers. The NRA’s sin: endorsing three conservative Democrats for Congress – Larry Kissell, Heath Shuler and Mike McIntyre.

The post approvingly quotes a recent article from The American Spectator in which the author said the following:

What irks these conservatives is the sense that the mighty NRA — a 4 million-member, $307 million organization — has become too pragmatic in the use of its power: too willing to compromise with Democrats, too cautious in its approach to Second Amendment litigation, too slow to oppose liberal judicial nominees, and too willing to settle for a place at the table in liberal-occupied Washington.”

Yikes! Who knew?

Up next: The Locke Foundation attacks Grover Norquist for being a big spending liberal and Glenn Beck for being part of the liberal intelligentsia!
